Landscape Gallery  Drawing & Painting

Although a great deal of personal poetics may be found in a kinship with the landscape, it is the formal or abstract arrangements of pictorial elements that interests me the most as a painter. Balancing these two qualities—enticing the audience into the sensation or the evocation of a place with the visual dynamic of light, line, color, texture, etc., is often the greatest challenge in leaving behind the picturesque for insight into a landscape.
